Ica Way Design (she/her)
Jess is a freelance textile artist and workshop facilitator based near Bath, working under the name Ica Way Design. Her practice is rooted in sustainability, mindful process, and a love of colour. Her current focus is on painted textiles, freeform patchwork, and hand embroidery. Drawing inspiration from the world around her, Jess explores abstraction through colour, texture, and shape- encouraging experimentation and mindful making.
Following a degree in Textiles and a career in clothing design, Jess shifted her focus towards craft-based workshops and community-led projects. She now leads creative sessions that promote playful, sustainable engagement with textiles- working with organisations like Made My Wardrobe, Beyond Dementia and The Pound Arts Centre.
Jess is always looking to get more involved in community projects, creative workshops, commissions and engage with like-minded creatives.
