COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Encouraging play + creativity.

'THE FABRIC OF LIFE' QUILT, 2.3m x 2.8m - ARTS TOGETHER 2025.

This project was funded by the National Lottery. This project was aimed at helping loneliness in older people. Celebrating all 88 members of the charity, we worked together to develop a textiles patch for each person responding to the question 'What is something not many people know about you?'. Stories were shared and cherished whilst we worked onto fabric.

COMMUNITY ECO DAY - POUND ARTS CENTRE, 2025.

This project was funded by Corsham Council. Using naturally dyed cotton on a hand-built loom, the project aimed to celebrate the beautiful colours that nature creates, as well as an introduce young hands to fabric weaving. Alongside the loom, I led drop-in sewing workshops for all ages- guiding young people into their first stitches, or encouraging those who haven't held a needle for some time.

COMMUNITY PATCHWORK - KANDU ARTS, 2024.

This project was funded by Wessex Water. Using denim off-cuts from the fashion industry, the project aimed to encourage participants to consider their relationship to water, whilst also experimenting with textile skills. The free sessions were open to all ages and abilities, encouraging groups of people to sit and create together.

COMMUNITY 3D TEXTILE FORMS - PEACOCK ARTS TRAIL, 2025.

This project was funded by Corsham Town Council. As part of the Peacock Arts Trail, I worked with adults and children with SEND to produce painted fabrics. These were then turned into 5 large-scale 3D forms, designed to be tactile, playful and show off the fantastic paintings made during the workshops. The emphasis was on encouraging creativity, leaning into each person's strengths and having fun!
